Application Guide

The durability and long-term performance of your SimplySafety decals depend on proper surface preparation and application.

Key Requirements for Success:

  • Conditioning: Store labels at 72°F (22°C) and 50% relative humidity, and ensure the application surface is a minimum of 50°F (10°C).

  • Preparation: All substrates must be assumed contaminated and require cleaning. Surfaces must be clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, grease, wax, silicone, and oxidation. Do NOT use ammonia-based cleaners.

  • Application: Apply the label from one edge to the opposite edge to prevent air entrapment, and use firm thumb pressure or a soft roller, repeating 2-3 passes.

  • Cure Time: Maximum adhesion is achieved after a 24-72 hour curing period. Avoid stress or washing during this time.

Always consult the full guide for surface-specific requirements for materials like painted surfaces, wood, steel, aluminum, and plastics to ensure proper adhesion.
